WHAT THEY SAY...

Your performance was, in a word, outstanding.

From the moment you stepped on the stage, you had the (skeptical!) St. Catharines audience in the palm of your hand. It was evident from the thunderous applause and whistles at the end of each and every song that the audience loved the music and stories of Gregg Lawless.

Since that night, I have been asked repeatedly if I intend to bring you back to the Centre for the Arts next season. The answer to that: absolutely!

On behalf of all of the people who were lucky enough to have seen your performance, the staff at the Centre for the Arts and myself, thank you for one of the best evenings of first class and first rate music that we have heard in some time!

Sincerely,

Debbie Slade

It was First Night Toronto's pleasure to have hosted Gregg Lawless at our New Year's Festival main outdoor stage.

Gregg's set was the highlight of the evening. Combining eclectic, accessible material with a very strong performance, he actually had our outdoor crowd singing along (no small feat in Toronto!) and was warmly received by our multi-cultural and mixed age audience.

From a producer's point of view, Gregg is on time, in tune and on budget. He's professional, pleasant, is a polished and accomplished musician and has a most active and likable stage persona.

It's a pleasure for me to recommend Gregg very strongly to other producers and promoters.

Yours truly,

Glenn Sernyk

... the band was so accommodating and the musical mix was fantastic! ... I've had nothing but rave reviews from all of our staff ... we'll have you back next year!

I wanted to write to you and let you know how much of a pleasure it was to have perform at Markham Theatre. Since seeing and hearing you at the Ontario Arts Council's Contact showcase, I have wanted to get you onto our stage.

Your talent and genuine showmanship took over. You were able to quickly develop a rapport with the audience. The local slant of growing up in Aurora was also warmly received. I returned again on Saturday night, just to watch you perform.

The novelty and sheer entertainment value of the songs you performed was commented on again and again by the audience members.

We look forward to your return performance in April!

Sincerely,

David Scott
