LAWLESS PRODUCTION AND MORE
Gregg is currently fast at work with brilliant wordsmith David Newland http://www.davidnewland.com/ on a CD of roots/folk/early jazz stylings. David is a fiercely talented storyteller and this CD is one that is definitely worth waiting for. Gregg was also happy to lend a hand to his friend Kirsten Jones - who many have heard perform as part of the Lawless Duets Etc. series - in sequencing songs for her upcoming CD release, The Mad Mile. You'll be hearing and reading lots about her in the new year: http://www.kirstenjones.com/ And he recently spent three pun-filled afternoons at songsmith Kevin Zarnett's studio http://www.myspace.com/kevvyz recording fifty- six (yes, 56) demos of new songs he has written over the past couple of years. Ask nicely and hemight even play you one or ten of 'em.
RIVERDALE SHARE CONCERT
Gregg will be returning this year as host of the annual Riverdale Share Concert on Sunday, December 12th (2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. shows) at St. Barnabas Church, 361 Danforth Avenue (at Hampton), a one minute walk from Chester subway station. Since 1991, this all-volunteer concert has brought together some of Toronto's most celebrated artists to entertain the community and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and truckloads of food for children and families in need. http://www.riverdaleshare.com/
CAMP TRILLIUM - BACK TO THE ISLAND
Gregg was very happy to re-establish his ties with Camp Trillium http://www.camptrillium.com/ over the past few months with a Teen Songwriting Workshop as well as two concerts on Garratt's Island in Prince Edward County. Any day that combines kids, sailing, swimming, fishing, Scrabble, face painting, kayaking, a campfire and live, unplugged music is a great one.
